Its main goal is to protect the child from all forms of violence that may be inflicted by adults, persons in authority as well as their fellow students, including bullying.  Problem /Case:​ Mother of a pupil reported a teacher who hurted her child physically. Provision: ​ T he incident could be considered water under the bridge, several observers pointed out that it is a violation of the Department of Education’s Order No. 40, Series of 2012, (DepEd Child Protection Policy) issued on May 14, 2012. The order sets the Policy and Guidelines on Protecting Children in School from Abuse, Violence, Exploitation, Discrimination, Bullying and Other Forms of Abuse.
